29th Annual Shop Catalina
Join us on Saturday, December 3 from 12pm to 8pm as we kick off Shop Catalina 2022!
Support local small businesses, enjoy holiday shopping, receive discounts, enter to win prizes and participate in festive holiday activities! The Shop Catalina Holiday Kick-Off is a fun filled day and evening with caroling, a visit from Santa, holiday tree lighting and more. See schedule below.
Shoppers will have a week, from Saturday, December 3 through Saturday, December 10 to visit participating retailers to pick up a Shop Catalina Discount Card (valid through December 24), enter In-Store prize drawings and collect the Treasure Card code words found at each store (see below) for a chance to win one of three Grand Prizes (Catalina Island Gift Certificates up to $125). Many retailers offer additional in-store discounts that are only available during Shop Catalina's Holiday Kick-Off on Saturday, December 3rd.
A complete list of retailers is below and will also be available during the event at the Love Catalina Island Visitor Center located on the Green Pleasure Pier.

10am to 6pm: Christmas Craft Boutique at the Catalina Craft Corner at Island Tour Plaza
12pm to 6pm: Sees Candy sales, Wrigley Stage - until supplies last, more info
12pm to 8pm: Shop Catalina, participating stores are open - look for the Nutcracker windsock hanging outside each store, enter the in-store drawings, hunt for the Treasure Card code words and pick up your month-long Discount Cards
1pm to 4pm: KISL presents DJ Cazzuto & singer Virian, broadcast Live on 88.7FM island radio, & piped on Wrigley Stage
1pm to 4pm: Ornament Decorating for Kids sponsored by Catalina Art Association, adjacent to Wrigley Stage
1pm to 5pm: Gingerbread House Decorating Contest, sponsored by Avalon Rotary Club, $20 gingerbread house kits available at Island Breeze or Seacrest Inn, drop off decorated houses from 1-2pm, public viewing 2pm-5pm, awards & pick up at 5pm more info
2pm to 5pm: Hot Chocolate & Popcorn sales on Wrigley Stage, sponsored by Avalon HS Interact Club
3pm to 6pm: Pet Portraits with Santa, just $10 at Catalina Coastal Tours. Proceeds benefit the Catalina Humane Society more info
4:15pm to 4:30pm: Catalina Kid Ventures Preschool holiday performance on Wrigley Stage
4pm to 4:30pm: Holiday Carolers "The Jingle Singers", strolling performance throughout town
4:30pm to 5pm: Holiday Carolers "The Jingle Singers", performing on Wrigley Stage
5pm: Santa Claus Arrival on a vintage City of Avalon Fire Truck & Community Tree Lighting, Wrigley Stage
5pm to 8pm: Holiday Carolers "The Jingle Singers", strolling performance throughout town
5:30pm to 6:30pm: Business Decorating Contest judging more info

Treasure Card
Participate in our Shop Catalina Treasure Hunt. Collect code words from each of the 31 participating stores. Add them into to this online Treasure Card form and be entered to win one of three Grand Prizes, to be awarded on December 12!

Lets light up the holidays like never before. Avalon residents are encouraged to decorate their homes, apartments, condos, etc. in a way that will be remembered forever.
