Ring in 2024 at this extraordinary milestone event - a sparkling night of evening gowns, tuxedos, champagne, dining and dancing - all at the one and only 50th Anniversary New Year's Eve Gala Celebration on Sunday, December 31, 2023, in the world-famous Casino Ballroom on Catalina Island. Dress in your finest and step back in time to the ambiance of the Casino Ballroom’s stylish sophistication. Reservations for this year's event are $249 per person.
Included With Reservation Purchase
Reservations for the New Year's Eve Gala include a gourmet buffet dinner with carving station and dessert (view menu), dancing, one champagne split per person, party favors and the classic midnight balloon drop! A professional photographer will be available on the Mezzanine level to capture the moment.
Musical entertainment will be provided by The Perfect Event's Christien Anthony Band, featuring 9 incredible musicians, playing everything from Big Band music to contemporary & pop, to appeal to guests of all ages, along with DJ Izzy.
The Casino doors open for all guests at 6:45pm. Dinner reservations for your table are accepted for 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, or 8:30 pm. Guests will be admitted upstairs into the Ballroom no more than 15 minutes before their chosen reservation time. Guests arriving to the Casino earlier than their reservation time may wait in the Marine Bar on the Mezzanine level, where seating, light entertainment and beverages will be available until 9:00 pm. The buffet dinner (view menu) will be available until approximately 9:30 pm and the band will perform until approximately 12:30 am. Menu items are subject to change and/or substitution based on availability.
HOW DOES SEATING WORK?
In order to fill all of the tables and keep the dance floor as large as possible, depending on your party size you may be seated with other guests.
Parties of 2: parties of 2 will be seated with one or more other parties of two.
A limited number* of private tables for two (*28 tables total) are available on a first-come, first-served basis, at an additional cost of $75 per couple/table.
Parties of 3 to 10: parties of 3 to 5 may be seated with other parties of two or more; parties of 6 to 10 will be seated at individual tables.
Parties of 11 or more: will be seated at two or more tables next to each other.
CHOOSE YOUR TABLE LOCATION & RESERVATION TIME
Regardless of the time of your reservation, tables are yours for the entire evening. When making your reservation, you will select one dinner reservation time and one seating section location.
- Dinner reservation time - select one: 7:00, 7:30, 8:00 or 8:30 pm.
- Seating section location - select one: Section A, B, C or D (view seating chart)
- Section A - Descanso Beach side, closer to bar/buffet
- Section B - Descanso Beach side, closer to band/stage
- Section C - Avalon Harbor side, closer to bar/buffet
- Section D - Avalon Harbor side, closer to band/stage
Your seating requests will be honored as long as seating for your requested time and location is available. Reserve early as seating sections and dinner reservation times are limited and do sell out.
Please note: reservations should include everyone who is to be seated together and will be accepted under one name for the entire party. Should there be a change in your party size, please contact us immediately to see if we can accommodate you. The closer to New Year's Eve, the more difficult (or impossible) it will be to make changes.

CANCELLATION POLICY - ALL SALES ARE FINAL
Reservations are non-refundable. Should you be unable to attend after purchasing reservations, please notify us prior to the event by sending an email to email@example.com. The name on your reservation can be changed to a friend or family member if you would like to gift them a celebration to ring in the new year on Catalina Island.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the attire?
For gentlemen a coat and tie is required, black-tie optional. For ladies, evening cocktail wear to formal ball gowns. A coat check will be available throughout the event on the Mezzanine level.
Are children allowed?
Yes, however, the pricing is the same for children, $249 per person, regardless of age.
What if I have a special diet?
All gluten-free and vegetarian items will be labeled on the menu and buffet. Please indicate any dietary allergies at the time of reservation and the Chefs will do their best to accommodate your needs.
Can I bring my own wine or alcohol to the event?
Beverages will be available for purchase, but the venue does not allow any outside food or beverages. Coffee and tea are included with the buffet dinner and dessert, along with one split of champagne per person.
What if I want to sit with friends that are also attending the event?
In order to guarantee that your parties are all seated together, your reservation should be made under one name for the entire party and include everyone who is to be seated together.
How do I get to the Casino? It's just a short 5-minute walk from the center of town; there are also taxis available.
Where is my ticket?
There are no “tickets” issued for the event. Your reservation confirmation/name of your party will serve as your entry into the Gala. Your entire party must be present to check in as a group and to enter the event. Confirmation receipts are sent via email once a reservation has been made.
Can I make a reservation by phone?
No, we are only accepting reservations online. Reservations are sold out as of 12/2/23.
