Prizes for Best Theme, Overall Decoration and Most Patriotic.
Judging begins at 10 am, Winners announced at 1 pm.
Home & Business Decorating Contest winners are awarded Catalina Island Gift Certificates:
1st place $100, 2nd place $50, 3rd place $25

Come dress yourself, dress your cart, or play the part!!
Decorate your float for the 2026 theme: Red, White and 250: Celebrating our History and Defining our Future.
Golf Cart Parade registration (registration is required for all decorated carts entering the parade):
Parade line up meets along Casino Way between 12-12.30 pm. (Decorated vehicles only.)
Parade categories: Best of Parade, Best Art Deco, Best Theme, and Most Patriotic.
Dinghy Parade / 3:30 pm
Organized by the Catalina Island Yacht Club. Jump in your dinghy and motor through the Avalon Bay moorings or watch from the shoreline.
Live Music / 3:00 - 9 pm
On Wrigley Stage throughout the day and evening.
USC Marching Band at the Catalina Casino / 6:30 pm
Enjoy a live performance with the USC Trojan Marching Band at the Catalina Casino on the Fourth of July and view the fireworks from the Casino promenade. (ticketed event)
Fireworks Show over Avalon Bay / 9:00 pm (approx.)
Grab a chair or blanket and set up a spot on one of Avalon's main beaches or just watch from your boat, hotel, vacation rental or favorite downtown spot.
View the Fireworks from the Harbor.Cruise out onto Avalon Bay aboard the Catalina Island Compnay's Cyclone speed boat for a unique perspective of Catalina’s annual 4th of July fireworks. Boards at 8:30 pm. Reserve your spot.
