2-day itinerary focused on where to eat on Catalina Island

Day 1: Burgers, Buffalo Milk & Coastal Bites

Morning

• Breakfast: Select from a variety of restaurants serving morning delights like the Morning Glory Muffin, coconut macadamia pancakes, giant biscuits and hearty omelets and an iced lavender latte.

Mid-Morning

• Fishing Charter Adventure – Catch local fish, then have a restaurant (like The Bluewater Grille) cook it for dinner!

Lunch

• Check out our Bison Burger Trail and try a juicy bison burger and Buffalo Milk Trail to Sip a classic Buffalo Milk Cocktail born in Two Harbors on Catalina island (it's like a boozy banana milkshake).

Afternoon

• Taste the Flavors of Catalina on a Walking Food Tour as you sip, sample & savor Avalon’s best at 5+ unique tasting locations.
• Taste Around Avalon (the first Thursday after Memorial Day) – Enjoy a self-guided tasting tour from Avalon’s top restaurants!

Dinner

• Dine Al Fresco on the Beach, over the water or inside in front of the water – No matter your restaurant choice, you will enjoy dishes like the Catalina Lobster Mac & Cheese, a Wagyu Smashburger, a Filet Mignon & Lobster Tail, Lobster Thermidor or the Catalina Swordfish.

Evening

• Drinks at FLX Biergarten or Catalina Island Brew House – Hidden gems with fantastic beer selection and laid-back atmospheres offering beer flights and local brews. 
• Live Music at Luau Larry’s – Order a Wiki Wacker, get a free straw hat, and enjoy the tunes! And check out the historic Marlin Club with the boat shaped bar and undersea theme. 

Day 2: Scenic Eats, Airport in the Sky & More Buffalo Milk

Morning

• Take a Shuttle Van Ride to Airport in the Sky – A scenic drive into the island’s interior with breathtaking views.
• Breakfast at Airport in the Sky Restaurant – Famous for their bison chorizo burrito. Grab a killer homemade cookie to go. 

Mid-Morning

• Explore the Catalina Island Conservancy trails – Spot bison and soak in the stunning island landscape.

Lunch

• Back in Avalon, enjoy one of the many quick grab restaurants on the pier and along Crescent Avenue.

Afternoon

• Another stop on the Buffalo Milk Trail is Maggie’s Blue Rose – Try a fun twist with a Buffalo Milk Margarita.
• Avalon Restaurant Week (If visiting in June) – Prix-fixe menus at the island’s best spots!

Dinner

• With over 15 spots to have dinner, take your pick for your final evening on Catalina Island.  

Evening

• Final Nightcap – Enjoy a Catalina Espresso Martini while watching the sunset over the harbor.
