Bison Tours
In the 1920's 14 bison came to Catalina Island for the filming of a feature film. They were allowed to stay and have become an integral part of Catalina Island. Cared for by the Catalina Island Conservancy, the herd, now around 100 bison, roam freely within Catalina Island's vast wildlands. Several of our island tour companies offer tours of Catalina's interior where you can view bison, Catalina Island fox and American Bald Eagles. The majority of tours are in an open air vehicle.
The Catalina Island Conversancy offers the Conservancy Eco Tour. The Catalina Island Company offers the Bison Expedition. Catalina Adventure Tours offers the Inside Adventure Tour. Catalina Taxi & Tours offers private Eco Tours. And Leyva Electric Bikes offers an E-Bike Eco Tour.
