Catalina Island Summer Fun

The City of Avalon hosts daily summer events throughout the summer months. Visitors may remember summer favorites like Beach Bingo on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Kids Fishing Derby on Wednesday mornings on the Green Pleasure Pier and Movies on the Beach on Wednesday evenings. Newer additions to the summer schedule include Monday Beach Days, Funky Fridays Night Dance Party, Saturday Art in the Park and Sunday morning Yoga on the beach.

The City of Avalon's summer programming and events take place June - August.

Summer Beach Bingo (each Tuesday & Thursday)

Recurring weekly on Tuesday, Thursday

Bring your beach chair and some friends to the South Beach Lifeguard stand every Tuesday, Thursday from 6:00-7:00pm. Bingo cards are $1 each and participants can win fun local prizes.

Kid’s Fishing Derby (Each Wednesday)

Movies on the Beach Wednesdays at 8 pm. Special thanks to the Catalina Yacht Club & Lions Club for their continuous support. Don't forget your beach chairs and towels! Snacks & refreshments will be available for purchase.
