Catalina Island Annual Event to Celebrate its Golden Anniversary
AVALON, CA – October 2023 – The Love Catalina Island Tourism Authority is excited to announce the 50th Anniversary New Year's Eve Gala. A limited number of online reservations are available for this milestone event set to take place on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at the world-famous Catalina Island Casino Ballroom.
Celebrating half a century of elegance, glamour and history, the black-tie affair promises an evening of gourmet dining, champagne and party favors. With a classic midnight balloon drop from the infamous Tiffany and Co. chandelier, guests will welcome the new year with a night of dancing and live entertainment from The Perfect Event's Christien Anthony Band and live DJ. To celebrate the 50-year milestone, the menu has been upgraded to include carving stations and a larger buffet selection.
The Tourism Authority has been hosting the event for five decades to sold-out crowds including repeat revelers, international visitors and those with New Year’s Eve in Catalina on their bucket lists. The 50th Anniversary Gala honors the Casino’s dining and dancing roots in the world’s largest circular ballroom, where for over 94 years guests have been dancing the night away to the sounds of big band music.
New Year’s Gala reservations are available starting at 7:00 p.m. Reservations to the 50th Annual New Year’s Eve Gala are $249 per person. Reservations can be made online, and the event will likely sell out soon.
