In 1981, I moved to Catalina Island with my young family, for a great short-term job opportunity. I expected to be on the island for two years with plans to return to the mainland to complete my college degree; only to fall in love with the people and the lifestyle and I never left. The island was a beautiful place to raise my 2 sons, a true small-town community full of love, relationships, and opportunities. We have had our share of challenges, but our island community has always been able to rise above and get through them. This current CoVid19 will not keep us down.  

In 2006, I began a career in real estate allowing me to blend my profession with the community and the island that captured my heart. I got my broker's license in 2012 and started my own brokerage, Kelly Nelson Brown Real Estate (KNBRE) in 2016.  I have been truly blessed with a highly successful career working with remarkable Sellers, Buyers and fellow colleagues.

I enjoy introducing potential homeowners to this remarkable island and describing the unique qualities of island life. It truly is a beautiful place to be able to call home. With that in mind, KNBRE's motto is "Come Home to Avalon"
