WHAT:

Catalina Museum for Art & History announces the return of its highly anticipated Round Island Benefit Cruise, an unforgettable afternoon of adventure, storytelling and breathtaking coastal views, all in support of the museum’s mission to preserve and celebrate Catalina Island’s rich cultural heritage.

Guests will experience Catalina like never before during this rare, expert-led journey around the island’s spectacular coastline. The immersive cruise will explore hidden shipwrecks, vibrant marine life and untold island stories while offering a unique perspective on the waters that have shaped Catalina’s past and continue to inspire its future. Attendees will hear captivating firsthand accounts and gain deeper insight into Catalina’s rich maritime and natural history throughout the voyage.

The excursion will be led by two distinguished experts. Jon Council will share his extensive knowledge of underwater archaeology, shipwrecks and Catalina’s maritime history, while Alexandria Brainerd will guide guests through the island’s marine ecosystems, wildlife and coastal environment, offering a naturalist’s perspective on Catalina’s unique shoreline. Together, they will provide an engaging and educational experience that brings the island’s history and natural world to life.

This event serves as an important fundraising initiative for the museum. Proceeds directly support Catalina Museum for Art & History in its efforts to preserve, interpret and share Catalina Island’s art, culture and history for future generations.
