Community Shred Day

In honor of Earth Day, Love Catalina Island has scheduled a shred drop-off day. Professional paper shredding is an eco-friendly way to destroy confidential documents securely while protecting our planet.

Date: Monday, April 20, 2026
Time: 12 pm go 3 pm
Drop off: Avalon Freight Services, 40 Pebbly Beach Rd.
Cost: $7 per banker or copy box with lid

Payment: 
Please bring a check, credit card or cash for payment when dropping off boxes. Make checks payable to "Catalina Island Chamber of Commerce."
Participants may also choose to prepay at the Love Catalina Visitor Center prior to the event. Simply bring your receipt and show it when dropping off your boxes to confirm payment.

How it works:
Must be banker boxes or a copy paper box with lid. Paper clips and staples do not have to be removed, however please no heavy duty black binder clips. All boxes dropped at AFS will be barged to the mainland and picked up by Corodata for confidential shredding. A Certificate of Destruction will be sent upon shred completion.
