Lodging Open House

In honor of National Travel & Tourism Week, May 19-25, 2024, you are invited to participate in the Lodging Open House! This is a wonderful opportunity to encourage visitors, residents and front line employees of lodging and vacation rental properties to familiarize themselves with the various unique and newly updated properties on the island. There is no cost for your business to participate in this event.

The Lodging Open House will kick off at 5:30pm at the Visitor Center on the Green Pleasure Pier with a brief welcome announcement. Attendees will be given a color coded list of participating lodging establishments. Each list will have a different starting point in order to keep attendees from converging on one property at the same time.

Hotels & vacation rental properties will open their doors to the general public from 5:45pm – 8:45pm. Each property should have one or more rooms/properties open for viewing.

In order to promote traffic, each property is encouraged to have a special drawing at the end of the evening. Examples of prizes: an overnight stay, bathrobe, discount voucher, basket of goodies, etc. Those businesses offering a prize drawing will be highlighted on the list of participating properties. Raffle tickets for your prize giveaway will be available for pick up at the Visitor Center if needed and participating properties will notify their winner(s) directly.

Love Catalina Island will promote the event in the form of flyers, press releases to local newspapers, the Thursday Update, social media and e-blasts to the membership and database.
