The Visitor Services and Store Manager serves as the first ambassador to the museum - setting a positive tone, welcoming visitors with warmth and excitement, sharing information about the museum’s exhibitions and programs.
The Visitor Services and Store Manager position requires outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, must be collaborative, team-oriented, and diplomatic in dealing with visitors, staff, students, and volunteers, and have supervisorial abilities.
The Manager position requires the ability to work F/T, 40 hours a week, on-site, including weekends; be highly organized and timely; be able to stand for extended periods of time; to troubleshoot and problem solve; navigate organizational and accounting software; and communicate effectively and courteously with a variety of people.
The Manager also assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility by training and working with all levels of visitor services staff, working with contracted cleaners and notifying senior level staff of maintenance issues. This position is full-time with benefits.
